Information about Zoom AI companion meeting summary uses and psychotherapy sessions
This document is to provide you with information about the Zoom AI Companion Meeting Summary feature used by this therapist. This therapist uses the Zoom AI Companion Meeting Summary feature in order to cut down on time spent on administrative tasks in order to spend more time preparing for sessions, engaging in professional learning opportunities, and self-care. No other AI assistive technology is being used. Agreeing to allowing usage of AI assistive technology in your therapy session is voluntary and does not affect any services provided if you opt out. You may opt out at any time.
This therapist is the only person on the Zoom account. The Zoom account that is used is HIPAA compliant. Not all Zoom accounts are HIPAA compliant. In order for a zoom account to be HIPAA compliant a Business Associate Agreement, BAA, is required. See this therapist BAA included in this document. Zooms AI companion meeting summary feature is not connected to the electronic health record system where your clinical information is stored. The AI meeting summary feature cannot access your medical records. It only has access to the current session in order to summarize it. Zoom does not use any of your audio, video, chat, screen sharing, attachments or other communications-like customer content (such as poll results, whiteboard and reactions) to train Zoom’s or its third-party artificial intelligence models.
